Zeta Tau Alpha – Baker University, the Sigma of ZTA Local Housing Corporation

Baker University is the oldest University in Kansas and is a small, private, liberal arts school located in quaint Baldwin City. It is 12 miles south of Lawrence, KS and is an easy 45-minute drive to Greater Kansas City.

The Sigma Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha has an opening starting August 2017 for a professional, personable, energetic, organized and detail-oriented, full-time, live-in House Director.

The total chapter membership is approximately 65 with 40-45 living in the House.  Last summer a complete kitchen renovation was completed.

Responsibilities of the House Director includes but are not limited to:

*Manage a safe and secure environment for our collegiate members. Fostering a comfortable atmosphere within the house thus creating a “home away from home”.   *Must be onsite overnight 7 nights per week when members are in residence, except when prior arrangements have been made for other supervision.   *Oversee the opening and closing of the chapter house each semester.   *Serve as official hostess for the Chapter and prepares the house for special events/visitors.   *Supervise kitchen employees and oversees other vendors such as landscaper, contractors and handy man.   *Communicate house maintenance issues to the House Corporation.   *Adhere to campus, ZTA, house, and chapter policies and rules.

 

Applicants must be physically active and able to perform normal activities such as climbing stairs, lifting 25 pounds if necessary. Ability to work independently and maintain confidential information. Ability to interact professionally and diplomatically with students, alumnae, parents, service providers and community/university resources. Strong interpersonal skills, particularly with college age women including patience, flexibility, and a sense of humor.
