We are on day four of filming and we are all looking a bit deranged due to the long hours we’re putting in. Day 2 and day 3 went until the wee hours of the morning (3:30 – 4 a.m.) which is of course way past this old girl’s bedtime! Luckily we have been getting to sleep in until around noon the following day – but it’s been a challenge to change my darn sleep patterns. We have finished choosing the new PNR’s and the 16 of them move into the house today…so many cute British girls tried out – it felt like actual recruitment combining both tears of sadness and tears of joy. I’m anxious to see their reactions to the sleeping porch with the three levels of bunks to the ceiling, this will be a complete surprise to them although the sleeping porch is really adorable – much cuter than any of ours!
The Brits don’t drink cream in their coffee – just milk so we’ve all been getting used to that – and you wouldn’t believe the amounts of yummy chocolate covered biscuits they have around all the time (groan). I discovered yesterday after getting a blister on my foot that they call bandages “plasters” and think of a bandage as a large piece of gauze – much to my surprise. It’s been fun and a bit confusing at times (depending on how strong their accents are) to try and communicate.
The sun has come out finally – and I took the opportunity yesterday to walk into town for some much needed exercise and some items from the drug store. I can’t seem to hold on to my lipsticks and have managed to loose all three I brought with me.
I can’t wait to be able to share some photos with you (after filming) the stage crew has really worked hard on making everything gorgeous!
Until next time….Deb
